KidOvation Stage Scholarship Application

The KidOvation Stage Scholarship fund, the Foundation seeks to ensure that every child, regardless of financial need or physical ability, has access to enriching and educational summer programs that will help them develop their talents, social-emotional skills, and a lasting interest in learning.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE DUE JUNE 1.

We are awarding weekly scholarships to students demonstrating financial need and/or physical disability. Applicants will be required to complete the scholarship application and upload eligibility documents to demonstrate their stated need. Camp hours are Monday-Friday (excluding holidays) 8:00am to 3:00pm and after-care is available from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. We can provide lunch and two snacks plus camp materials each day. Transportation is not included and all campers must have their own reliable method of transportation to and from camp. Learn more about the program here.

All information submitted will be treated with the strictest confidentiality. The KidOvation Stage Board of Directors receives applications that are stripped of personal identity information so the applications can be considered anonymously. Only those applicants who fully comply with all of the instructions can be assured that their application will be reviewed by the Board. Please only submit one application per family.

The scholarship process is administered by the KidOvation Stage Board of Directors. Please direct questions to Reba Thomas, Board Chair at: admin[at]kidovationstage.org. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 P.M. on June 1. The Board will not review any applications submitted after this date.

eligibility REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants and campers must meet the following criteria:

  • Camper must be potty trained and between the ages of 3-10 on or before the first day of camp;

  • Applicant must be the Camper’s parent or legal guardian;

  • Applicant must demonstrate financial need and/or Camper’s physical disability with any of the following documents:

    • Tax Return: Recent federal tax return (first 2 pages) for the Camper’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s).

    • Proof of government assistance: Recent statement of benefits received from government assistance programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF.

    • Letter from a qualified professional: A letter from a licensed physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, or other qualified medical professional that confirms the disability and its impact on the Camper’s life.

    • Government-issued disability benefits statement: This can include a Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) statement, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) statement, or Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits statement.

Transportation is not included and Campers must have reliable transportation to and from the program.
